Dear San Marco Church Family: One of the reasons that I am grateful for San Marco Church is that we have several very capable speakers who are willing to preach from time to time. I believe that sharing the pulpit is a very important and necessary aspect of a healthy church community. If we only hear one voice from the pulpit, the message can become stale. Moreover, I believe that God works through a diversity of voices to share the good news of grace. Having some Sundays in which I am not preaching also offers me the opportunity to reconnect with God’s calling on my life. This Sunday, June 22, Bryan Amerling will be sharing a message based upon Numbers 27: 1-11. Bryan’s message is entitled “The Audacity of Advocacy.” I encourage you to read the passage before worship and come to worship expecting to be inspired by this very interesting topic. As we move into the summer months, I know that many of us will travel with family and friends. Please remember that we have the luxury of attending worship remotely even when we travel. If you are grateful for San Marco Church, consider also writing a review (Google or Yelp, for example) sharing what you like about our church. For the same reasons that a good review can really promote a restaurant or other commercial business, a good church review is an important and easy way to let our community know that we are here and that everyone is welcome in our worship!
